No. 811/WBBPE/2025 Date: 11/04/2025 NOTIFICATION (Pertaining to preponement of summer vacation in Primary Schools with effect from 30.04.2025) It is hereby notified for information to all concerned that the summer vacation in all the Government Aided/ Government Sponsored Primary Schools and Junior Basic Schools under the jurisdiction of West Bengal Board of Primary Education which was notified earlier (vide Memo No. 2198(24)/WBBPE/2024, dated 17/12/2024) with effect from 02.05.2025 is preponed with effect from 30.04.2025 (Wednesday), except for the schools of the hill areas of Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts, wherein existing academic schedule may continue until further order. The teaching and non-teaching staff will also remain on leave as a special case during the period or till the schools reopens, subject to the directions issued by the competent authorities. The teaching/ non-teaching staff of schools shall make suitable arrangements for conducting extra classes after re-opening of schools to make up the loss due to preponement of summer vacation as stated above in the interest of the students. All the Chairpersons of District Primary School Councils/ Primary School Councils are requested to take necessary action immediately. This notification is being issued with the approval of the Hon’ble President of the West Bengal Board of Primary Education in consonance with the advisory of the School Education Department, Government of West Bengal vide its Memo No. 414-DSE-11099/41/2023-ADMN, dated – 4 th/ 8th April. 2025.
